Why have a hearing?
 
A hearing is a meeting held to discuss notified resource consent applications or submissions on applications. Hearings are also held to discuss resource management plan proposals. A hearing gives applicants and submittors the opportunity to present their cases to the people who have the responsibility to make decisions.
A hearing will only be held where the Council considers it is necessary or where one is requested by the parties. More...

At the hearing
